Watercolor Landscapes Part 2

There comes a point when the techniques stop getting in the way. This course is about reaching it — when you no longer plan every brushstroke and simply trust your own eye.

If you've taken our first Landscapes course, the techniques will be the same ones you learned there. That's exactly the point: the first course showed you how they work, and this is where they start to feel natural — through new paintings and more freedom to make your own choices.

What we'll paint

Over five Friday evenings you'll paint a new collection of landscapes built around water, trees and changing weather — reflections, atmosphere, light and mood. We'll work with deeper colour and stronger composition, and you'll begin to understand not just how to paint something, but why certain choices make a painting feel more alive.

How it works

Every project is demonstrated step by step, and there's plenty of personal guidance along the way. There are no expectations to get everything right — this is a place to experiment, ask questions and enjoy the process.

By the end, you'll have five finished landscapes and the confidence to keep painting on your own.

Recommended experience

You don't need to paint well. You just need to have tried:

• Basic colour mixing
• Wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry and dry brush techniques
• Creating smooth gradients

Having tried them is enough — the rest is what this course is for. If you've completed a beginner watercolour course at NEST Aquarel or elsewhere, you're ready.
