We’ll teach your teen to draw — so they won’t even notice they’re learning.

Our Approach

Teens constantly face expectations — from school, family, and the world around them.
At Nest, art becomes a pressure-free space where they can slow down, explore, and create at their own pace.

Each student starts from what truly interests them — they can choose their own theme or, if they prefer more guidance, receive an assignment from the teacher.
The teacher doesn’t dictate; they guide, helping turn “I don’t know how” into “look what I made!”.

Learning happens through iteration and reflection: a quick sketch, thoughtful feedback, and a stronger new version. We teach not only how to draw, but how to use feedback as a creative tool — staying calm, curious, and open.

What We’ll Learn

In a relaxed, engaging format, we explore fundamental artistic skills:

  • perspective, proportions and tonal work through simple forms (cube, cylinder, sphere, pyramid);

  • color theory and mixing;

  • composition, light and balance;

  • drawing from observation and imagination.

We’ll try different materials — markers, colored pencils, pastels, watercolor, acrylics — to find what feels most natural and inspiring.

Along the way, students build visual awareness: our studio walls will feature curated artworks to observe and learn from, connecting them with both classical and contemporary artists.

About the Teacher

Our teen course is led by Ksenia, a professional artist and art educator with more than 10 years of teaching experience — from young children to seniors.

She studied in an art school, then continued her education in a college and university program in Fashion Design, where, alongside deep studies in design and composition, she was deeply inspired by her exceptional painting and drawing teachers — the people who sparked her lifelong passion for art.

Ksenia works mainly with oil painting, sketching, and graphic drawing, and regularly takes part in plein air residencies and exhibitions in the Netherlands and Russia.

In her classes, she combines solid academic fundamentals with a playful, creative approach, helping every student build confidence and develop their own artistic voice.

Her teaching style is warm, structured, and encouraging — creating a space where creativity grows naturally and without pressure.

Ksenia teaches in Dutch, English, and Russian.

Community & Atmosphere

We work in small groups — up to 10 students — so everyone feels seen, supported, and safe.
Respect, kindness, and curiosity are at the heart of everything we do.

Together, we learn how to give and receive feedback with care — turning it into a tool for growth rather than criticism.
Students are also encouraged to share ideas and learn from one another, building empathy, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Our goal is a warm, creative atmosphere where teens can express themselves freely — because creativity doesn’t grow under pressure.

Beyond the Classroom

We want our students to feel part of a real creative community, not just a class. During the year, we plan to:

  • go on plein air painting sessions,

  • visit museums and exhibitions *,

  • host guest workshops with visiting artists*,

  • and organize a student exhibition in our own studio at the end of the school season — right before the summer holidays.

Each student will select one of their favorite pieces to showcase — a moment of pride and recognition for their growth.

*These activities are optional and may require an additional fee to cover tickets, materials, or guest artist time. We’ll announce dates and costs in advance.

Trial Month & Subscription

The first month is a trial — a one-time payment of €95.
If your teen enjoys the course, you can continue with a monthly subscription at the same rate of €95 per month.
The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled anytime with one month’s notice.

If you decide not to continue during the first month, we’ll refund the remaining lessons — we want every student to feel this program is the right fit.

  • The final lesson of the season will be on July 3rd, and no fees are charged for July.
